The Restaurant and working at The Tack Room
The Tack Room is an all day dining restaurant, cafe and bar situated in the stunning National Heritage Centre for Horse Racing and Sporting Arts on Palace Street in Newmarket. We have a fantastic following of regular guests as well as benefiting from visitors to the Heritage Centre. We serve locally sourced and seasonal British classics in a modern style, which has been very well received since we opened in September 2016.
As an all day dining venue we offer our staff a rota that is a mixture of evening and day shifts, with a very fair system for booking days off allowing our team members to enjoy a role in the industry and still have a work life balance.
Waiters and Waitresses
We are looking for a part time and full time waiter or waitress to join our team, so if you love interacting with people, working in a lively, professional environment then please do get in touch! We are happy to take on team member with or with out experience, who have the right attitude to customer service and working as a team.
We are delighted to be able to offer a full or part time Bar Tenders position here at The Tack Room. A bar tender position with The Tack Room, offers applicants the chance to work with premium wines and spirits, including over 20 Gins, making us a Gin Palace. We also invite team members to be involved in creating our cocktail menus, which gives a chance to use your own experience and creativity.
Bakery / Deli Assistant
Our Bakery, The Pantry Bakery is situated opposite The Tack Room in The Kings Yard Courtyard. We are recruiting a deli assistant, who’s primary role is to serve customers selling our beautiful produce and preparing coffees. If we have any applicants that are keen home bakers, then we would be happy to train you up and get you involved in that side of the business too. The hours available are daytime shifts 9am to 3 or 4pm depending on the seasons.
Experience is preferred, but not essential for the right person!
