Welcome to The Tack Room…
The Tack Room opened back in September 2016, within the grounds of the stunning new Palace House, the National Heritage Centre for Horse Racing and Sporting Art. The Tackroom is owned ran by the team behind the popular Pantry Fine Food Shop and Eatery, which has been part of the local and racing community since we opened back in 2011.
We were absolutely delighted to put it mildly to be given the contract to run the cafe and restaurant at Palace House and feel that our ethos of flexible all day dining, fits perfectly with the needs of visitors to the Heritage Centre and also with the towns residents.
Just like The Pantry, The Tack Room has a buzzing cafe feel by day and an elegant restaurant and bar environment by night. This means you drop in for a pot of loose leaf tea and one of our famous homemade scones, a hearty lunch or glass of wine anytime of the day or you can book in for a sumptuous dinner
The main reason being to give the people of Newmarket even more choice when dining out and it has also given our Head Chef Adam the chance to showcase the style of food he is passionate about. There for our many of the dishes on our evening menu at The Tack Room has a more fine dining style than the more paired back, hearty fayre we serve at The Pantry.
Also in respect to being an active part of our local economy we have have continued to work with fantastic businesses such as Eric Tenants Quality butchers and Fish! our neighbours at The Pantry.
So welcome to our website where you can sign up to our blog, get in touch and of course see our current menus, we look forward to seeing you at the Tackroom!
